Before you fly
Buy your Portugal eSIM and install it at home, on Wi-Fi. With most providers, validity only starts at the first connection to the local network, so installing a few days early costs you nothing. Check that rule in the plan's terms.
When you land at Madeira Airport (FNC)
- Turn off airplane mode.
